To receive mobile sms code to verify your identity you must fill the mobile number field correctly. PayPal sends a OTP code to verify the owner of the account. But for some reason we did not get the code. In this article we will see why we are not getting PayPal verification code and how to fix this problem.
Check Your Mobile Phone Number
Check carefully if you have filled your phone number correctly. If you have filled a wrong number you will never get the verification code. If you have filled the correct number but still not getting the verification code, you can add more numbers in your PayPal account. Add multiple account so that you never get locked out. You can always select the number which one you want to receive the verification code.
Use Stable And Strong Internet Connection
If you are using a poor internet connection, your request of sending a verification has not received by PayPal server. You make sure your internet connection is up and you are connected to the PayPal server. PayPal will not send the verification code to your number until their server receive your login request.
Check Your Mobile Network Coverage
If your mobile SIM is not in network coverage, you will not receive the code. Your SIM company can not deliver the SMS to you if its not a strong network. So, if you are in a room or under a low network coverage area change your position and lift up your phone to receive a good connection.
Also, you can check your SIM network strength here:
Settings > About phone > Status > SIM status > Signal Strength
Restart Your Phone
Sometime, there can be some internal device problem to receive a SMS. A device restart can solve this issue. So, restart your device and wait for sometime to check if you receive the SMS
Contact Your SIM Company
If you are not receive the PayPal verification code but you can receive calls and others SMS, you should contact your SIM company. Sometime they blocks the number and you do not receive the code. So, ask them to enable all incoming SMS to your number.
